This is a 3-hour weekly course, combined with a 60-minute weekly speaking course, which aims to prepare students for the Cambridge IGCSE E2L Exam. At the end of the year, students will undertake the IGCSE Exam, which includes reading, writing, listening as well as oral assessments. The examination is divided in three phases: (a) Speaking, (b) Reading and Writing and (c) Listening. Successful candidates obtain a certificate, which includes the overall grade of the assessment (if chosen, speaking is not counted in the overall grade and is marked separately).
N.B. A number of universities and colleges around the world, as well as companies, accept the IGCSE E2L Certificate as a form of evidence for the candidate’s competence of the English Language. Candidates can use their certificate when applying for undergraduate university courses.
